Lately I've been seeing these billboards near Mishref from the Municipality of Kuwait which say "Caution: Check Food Supplies Expiry Dates before buying transaction".

Shouldn't they be taking care of these things by themselves ? I guess they are probably taking a supply checking break during ramadan.

I also captured a picture of this billboard which warns you from the dairies! They want us to stay away from people who sell dairies from the streets.

Rolls-Royce has unveiled a limited edition Phantom Bespoke Collection for the Middle East.

The exclusive sedan can be customized by Rolls-Royce's bespoke design service or ordered directly in this unique two-tone Arizona Sun and English White paint scheme. This particular car features a Crème Light and Saddle Tan two-tone interior, hand-knotted silk rugs, and moccasin carpets. Other design touches include "Mother of Pearl" wood inlays and silver dhow (an Arab sailboat) accents on the door trim and front passenger side dashboard.

Neon Colors, the New Fashion ?

Can we say it's the new fashion or "habba" ? .. Many people were wearing these colors in the past year, but now everybody have neon colors. If it's not something to wear you'll find it covering his/her smart phone.

Miss Venezuela crowned Miss Universe 2009

Venezuelan Stefania Fernandez, an 18 year old brunette, won the Miss Universe 2009 title, giving her south american country it's second consecutive win and it's sixth title in the beauty pageant.

She looks beautiful but not a miss universe beauty. 2 arab countries also participated in the Miss Universe which are Egypt and Lebanon but neither have won.

PS3 Slim Soon in Kuwait

The new slim PS3 soon will be in Kuwait by Alghanim Electronics. I guess I'm going to buy this and leave the old "AC shaped" PS3 to my younger brothers.

Huge Coca-Cola Cup

Last night after leaving from Al-Rehab me and my friends went to Taco Time to try their food. I ordered a meal and asked for a large one, well I never thought he would give me that HUGE cup of Coca-Cola. This reminded me of the large cups you get in the USA.

Sewage Plant Breaks Down in Mishref !

Flooding in the station causing poisonous gas in the air took place in Mishref yesterday. Three pumps in the station broke down and ten other pumps have been out of service for sometime causing up to 14 meters of waste water. Fadhil Safar, the Minister of Public Works, said that the fault came because of excessive heat.

According to Alwatan newspaper, this incident could damage our sea for almost two months until they fix the problem.

Update : It appears that the ten pumps were not working perfectly from the day they built the station, only three pumps were working until they broke down. This accident may cause the sewages to flood in the near-by areas, also swimming and fishing are forbidden in some parts of the sea because of the waste-water. Link

Food Review: Little Dragon

Little Dragon is one of my best chinese food in Kuwait. I order from them twice every week for the past 5 months. My regular order is Chicken Sichwan, Shrimp Sichwan and steam rice.

The Sichwan style is very delicious and it's a little spicy which I love. I recommend you to try these 2 orders from Little Dragon. My order costed me 6.750 KD.

Jahra Wedding Fire Kills Dozens

Dozens of people were killed late yesterday when a fire broke out in a wedding tent in the Ayoun area of Jahra. Sources said all the victims were women. Rescue efforts were hampered because the burning tent collapsed on the women and the power supply failed. Many of the women were also killed in a stampede that ensued. Twenty fire trucks and dozens of firemen battled the blaze, while the injured were rushed to hospitals.

These are the bodies of the victims after the fire in the ground covered with a blanket tent.

Kuwait PK Jaguars

Parkour or "PK" is a the art of movement that first appeared in France. More similar to a martial art than to a sport, focused on moving from one point to another as smoothly, efficiently and quickly as possible using the abilities of the human body. If you have seen the movie "Yamakasi" you'll know what I'm talking about.

A group of Kuwaiti's managed to team up to create the first Parkour & free running team in Kuwait and the arabian gulf. The video above is an example of the abilities of Parkour Jaguars, they managed to do some of their moves in the Avenues mall. Click here to check out more of their work.

I didn't find the moves interesting however they are still young and the thought of creating a Parkour Team in Kuwait is pretty cool. I wish them the best of luck and a successful parkour future.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

It's been a while since I have bought a new PS3 game. Believe it or not the last game I bought was the most famous kuwaiti game Pro Evolution or as we call it "Al-Dawry Al-Yabany". Anyways, I went through the Play Station website to check out the latest PS3 games and I finally found what I was looking for. Batman: Arkham Asylum caught my attention. It is one of the most awaited games to be released. It will be released August 25 world wide but I bet Al-Rehab can get it before it's official release. Don't ask me how! The demo is already released and it looks beautiful. The thing I love most about the upcoming game is that you can choose whether you want to play as Batman or as The Joker.

Window Washers Rescued From High Building

Two window washers in California have been rescued after dangling from a high-rise building after their work platform tilted. Officials say the metal scaffolding slipped but the workers didn't fall because they were wearing safety harnesses.

I'm afraid of heights and this totally freaked me out! If I were him I would totally quit.

GI JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA was awesome! It had great visual effects, excellent action sequence and fun story line. I got to see a lot of things blow up and some really cool air and ground fights.

Little Red Riding Hood & Dicaprio?

I couldn't believe this when I read it on Variety, especially the part about the Gothic twist on the story which makes it pretty intersting and it's making me wonder how would it turn out. I'm really looking forward for this project to happen.

[466 KD], the new Wispa Gold is unlikely to attract many buyers until the 55p version hits the shelves in September.

The bar's eye-watering price is said to be precise value of it's weight in gold.

New iPhone Headphones .. For the 3rd time !

I don't know if it's just me or it happens with almost all of you, I'm losing my headphones ! I have iTouch and iPhone which means two headphones .. gone with the wind !

So I bought a new one for my iPhone because it works on both devices and it has mic for the iPhone. Guess what ? .. Yeah I've lost this one too ..

Now it's my 3rd time, and I wish it will be the last !

Kuwait Black Market 3D

This summer I took an introductory 3D animation course on a program called Maya because it was required by my Multimedia major in GUST. Maya is one of two great 3D animation programs that Designers use in Movies and Video games, the other one is 3DMAX which was Maya's opponent up until Autodesk bought 3DMax to join their company.

To take this course in summer was hard work, even though it's an introductory course but there was alot to learn. I had a Project that required me to create a logo and animate it like they do for TV channels, So I thought why not 3D animate the blogs logo, which Mohammed created and so I did it. I really had alot of fun taking this course and recommend Maya program to anyone who loves designing and/or animation.
