Sultan Center Al-Sha'ab Official Opening

The Sultan Center is officially open to everybody at their sixty-third (63) store inside Shaab Park. Many VIP attended the opening including the Ambassador of The United Kingdom Mr. Frank Baker.

Bad Translation ?

 A juice cart located at Kuwait Airport has this bad translated juice menu, they really need to fix this since it sends a bad image to our visitors when they visit Kuwait. Ask a 10yrs old kid and he/she will say to you that milk shakes are not juice, and since you don't know how to write "Awar Qalb" just write it as it is but in English !

Just check the two pictures and count the translation mistakes, I found like 5 mistakes see if you can find more too.

Review: Sultan Center Al-Sha'ab Food Section

We were invited by Mr. Khalid Al-Sultan to attend the new Sultan Center located in Al-Sha'ab. The official opening will be on Wednesday 29th of June. Unlike other Sultan Centers, Sultan Al-Shaab offers more than 5 food sections, each is different than the other.

With regards to the restaurants/dishes that are available in TSC Shaab, food sections are as following:

1- Prime & Toast during breakfast time; it'll basically have certain dishes from there
2- Hot food
3- Pizza oven & Saaj section
4- Shawarmat Em'armisha5- Salads by Pizzetta
6- Sushi by Wasabi
7- Coffee shop

Wataniya TV Channel Announcement

We were invited yesterday to attend a press conference that was held at Missoni Hotel, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Balool and Mr. Aamer Sabah were announcing Wataniya's TV Channel which will begin airing official on the first day of Ramadan.

However, they said that they're going to test the channel on the 15th of July for about two weeks before Ramadan since it will starts on August 1st. Also Wataniya TV Channel selected some of the best TV shows to be in their channel grid during Ramadan.

At the end of the press conference Wataniya gave us a DVD Home Theatre System as a giveaway, it was very kind of them to give us such a cool gift. It was a pleasure also to meet 360Dewan, Kuwaitiful, Q8Path and Bloglaish.

New Street Billboards

Yesterday I noticed almost all the billboards have no ads on display near the area where I live, and when I woke up today I saw these new street billboards. They look kinda bigger and more attractive than the old ones, wanna see how they'll look like tonight.

Google Celebrates Abdel-Halim Hafez's Birthday

I wasn't expecting this at all, Google are celebrating Abdel-Halim Hafez's birthday. He is one of the top most famous celebrities in Egypt and the Arab world. Abdel-Halim was born on June 21, 1929 and was famous for being an actor, conductor, music teacher and movie producer.

Benefits Academy 2011

Benefits Academy 2011 is a training and entertainment summer camp by a youth Kuwaiti group made for girls ages from 13 to 16 years old. The summer camp will be held in Sahara Resort and the girls will be trained by professionals like Hind Al-Nahedh, Khalid Al-Zanki, Abdulrahman Al-Kandari and more.

Besides training, there will be some entertainment activities like swimming, golf and ice skating.

I saw this two ads on AlThuraya Complex which is located on Salem AlMubarak street, AlSalmiya. Obviously Zain placed their ad first then Fastelco took the opportunity and placed theirs right next to them.

I guess Zain should write "Nothing is faster .. except Fastelco".

Review: Cirque Du Soleil KA Show

After O Show, we visited KA which was located at MGM Studios Hotel. I've heard that KA Show is considered to be a great show and has the same level and awesomeness as O Show.

The show turned out to be really disappointing. I didn't enjoy it for many reasons. KA show is more of a theatrical storytelling show and I didn't find the story interesting neither the characters in the story. Some of the acts in the show were really boring and uninteresting as they were supposed to be funny.

In the other hand, what dazzled me about the show is the huge and creative decoration of the theatre. The awesome stage effects is the only thing that moved me.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend KA Show, you would probably find much better shows to watch at Las Vegas.

I would rate the show 5/10

No More Fountain At The Avenues ?

I took this picture on my last visit to Elevation Burger two days ago, are they really going to remove the fountain or they're just repairing it ? .. Because I used to enjoy watching the fountain while having lunch or dinner at one of the outdoor restaurants in phase two.

Now they're blocking the whole place and as you can see they removed all the water and some parts of the fountain are broken or been removed too.

Such a loss, if they're planning to remove it permanently.

The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D Commercial

Really loved "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D" commercial for the new game on Nintendo DS and 3DS. Zelda Williams is the real name of Robin Williams daughter and he actually named her after the character Zelda.

I'm thinking of naming my son Snake after Solid Snake in Metal Gear. (jk)

Lunar Eclipse at The Scientific Center

Yesterday we went to play football right next to The Scientific Center in South Surra and decided to use their telescope to watch the lunar eclipse since we're already there.

It was nice to see all these people gathering together in one place just to see this astronomical phenomenal and I'm so glad that I had the chance to see the lunar eclipse from The Scientific Center's huge telescope.

Nike Hates Thieves

We went to Nike store in 360 Mall few days back and noticed this weird device attached to almost every item in the store specially clothes. After asking the employees there, they told us that this device will shatter, spill lots of red/yellow ink on the stolen item and may cause injury.

Thieves will think twice before stealing from Nike now.

BOSE Opening Soon

BOSE to me is the best company to produce speakers and headphones. It's not from what I've heard, it's from my personal experience since my car has BOSE speakers and I never had any trouble with them. I'm so happy that they're finally going to open here in Kuwait.

BOSE is located right next to NINO.

Franklin and Marshall - Now in Kuwait

I went to the Avenues Mall yesterday searching for swimming shorts and shirts to find out that GO Sports brought one of my favorite brands called "Franklin and Marshall", I was surprised and decided to give them a visit again to buy me some of their cool shirts.

The prices are also very reasonable and not overrated since the difference is almost 5KD only between what they sell in GO Sports and Franklin & Marshall official website.

First they brought A&F, now Franklin & Marshall.

Review: Cirque Du Soleil O Show

Las Vegas is famous for their awesome live shows. One of the most popular show is called O Show which I had the opportunity to watch at Bellagio Hotel.

I fell in love with this show; it is without a doubt a true masterpiece. A complete journey of water sensation that would enlighten you with a beautiful experience.


Everything about the play was incredible especially the characters, breathtaking moves, amazing soundtrack, fantastic decorations, amusing costumes and make-up designs .. I could go on and on.

It is a one hour and thirty minute show of thrilling acts. Ticket cost $165 for best seats.

I would rate the show 9.5/10

Chrome Web Store

Google Chrome now has a web store that enables Chrome users to download lots of their favorite apps and games using the browser itself. Now everyone can enjoy playing Angry Birds at home without even buying an iPhone or an Android device.

I tried playing Angry Birds and yes it's not that good as the iPhone or Android, kinda slow and weird when it's your first time using a mouse to control instead of your finger.

However, I think it's a nice idea specially that most of the apps are free and anyone can download them.

New Sultan Center

A new Sultan Center is going to open near the gate of Sha'ab Park, it's the same Sultan Center but this time it has Taco Bell and McDonald's beside it. As far as we know the opening will be at the end of June along with McDonald's and the only thing open there right now is Taco Bell.

Review: Taco Bell's Volcano Menu

Yesterday we were invited along with other bloggers to try out Taco Bell's "Volcano Menu" at their new location near Sha'ab Park ( next to the entrance gate ). The name says it all; three new seriously spicy products have been added to their menu Volcano Taco, Volcano Burrito and Volcano Nachos.

Best Games in E3 2011

I've almost watched all E3 2011 games' trailers and got impressed by some of them. Three games really grabbed my attention and already on my list to buy "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3", "FIFA 12" and "Battle Field 3".

Choco Leibniz

One of the best butter biscuits with chocolate I have ever tasted, called Choco Leibniz from Bahlsen. I can tell you from now you'll be addicted to it because every time I let one of my friends try it out he asks for more.

Each piece has 70 calories and 3.5g of fat, the delicious taste of these biscuits will force you to have some more so becareful since I don't wanna be the reason of ruining your diet or gaining extra weight ( Which will happen if you don't have control over yourself ).

What makes it mouth watery is the delicious chocolate that covers each piece. Bahlsen also have another great biscuit with chocolate called Pick-Up, a must try too.

Review: The Hangover Part2

I loved the Hangover2. There were lots of great laughs and funny scenes. If you enjoyed the first part then you'll definitely love the second one. It happened again but this time they ended up not remembering what happened in Bangkok.

Everything is great about the movie except the disturbing many frontal male nudity scenes. Cinescape has the movie in the coming soon section to be released on 9/6/2011 which I highly doubt.

I would rate the movie 8/10

Repairing The Streets in Qadesiya Area

I used to hate the streets in my area "Qadesiya" since they have cracks and holes almost in every avenue. Yesterday they asked us to remove our cars far from the streets so they can repair the streets without harming our cars.

In two days only the streets look fabulous but missing the white strips. I really loved how smooth our streets became.

Mishref Food Circle Opening!

We talked about Food Circle back in December last year but it wasn't open yet (click here). I recently passed by and noticed that the Food Circle in Mishref is officially open, finally!

I love the design and environment of the food circle, there's also a children's play ground upstairs. Taj Express and Shanghai Dragon will be open on 15/7/2011 due to staff training.

Food Circle is located in Mishref next to Al-Yarmouk Club. Go ahead and try their restaurants now.

Diesel - Iron Man Limited Edition

It's the same "Only For The Brave" perfume from Diesel but this time it's all covered with red/gold, same as Iron Man's metal suit. I used to like the old one, now I think I'm in love with this one specially with its new colors.

It's a nice idea by Diesel to attract those who love Marvel superheroes, "like me". I really wish if they could release a Wolverine edition, it would be extremely cool to see the claws coming out of his yellow/blue fist !

Review: Delano Hotel

Delano is a great hotel as it's well-known for being one of the best in Miami. The rooms are good but nothing to brag about except that they are all-white which is pretty cool. We had an amazing service at Delano, they are really friendly and helpful all the time.

They have a wonderful pool area although it gets crowded in the afternoon and all chairs get booked so we end up at the beach.

The location of Delano hotel is spectacular, it's in the middle of south beach and only 2 minutes walking to the most famous street Lincoln Road.

"X-Men: First Class" Movie Premiere by VIVA

We were invited by VIVA to attend "X-Men: First Class" movie premiere which was held at 360 mall, the VIP section. Many bloggers were there and it was nice to meet each one of them like p0ach, Omarker, Q8AllinOne, BlogLaish, 360Dewan and much more. Also a pleasure to meet Mr.Fahad AlFahad, Abdulrazag AlMutaawa and all those working at VIVA.
