The Avenues Mall Expansion - Phase III

We were invited yesterday by The Avenues Mall team to see the upcoming expansion of their huge project which is phase III. First they introduced us to the guys behind the project then they took us on a quick tour to see the whole phase guided by Alia Al-Ghunaim.

Phase III will be like a huge village with more than 4 different districts or zones ( Grand Avenue - Prestige - Souk - Soku ), and it's the size of Phase I & II combined since Phase III alone has 400 stores and 5,000 parking space which is what Phase I & II already have.

Baking Tray The Avenues Mall

Baking Tray is now open at The Avenues Mall and the best thing that they're going to serve breakfast from 8:00am, now you'll have the chance to enjoy an amazing breakfast then go shopping early in the morning or even grab some of their well known cookies while they're still fresh.

The Avenues Mall Regulations

Saw this huge banner at the Avenues Mall's parking lot showing regulations set by the management. So now it's clear that smoking is prohibited in the mall and people should wear decent dress code.

What grabbed my attention that even taking photos of the Avenues property is subject to management approval.

Review: Zafran Indian Cuisine

Zafran is an Indian cuisine located in Al-Salmiya Center Point at the first floor. The place is huge with a wonderful seating area. The staff are really friendly with a big kitchen staff. They have two kitchens, one of them is a live cooking kitchen placed in front of the seating area which is pretty cool.

 

I loved how unique their dishes are. It makes you feel that you are in a high class Indian cuisine. What's different about Zafran is that they don't care about spicy food as much as they care about quality and taste.

 

 

 

They have amazing ingredients which will make you go crazy. All of their food are free of color which are 100% organic. For any inconvenience at parking, they provide each customer with a free valet parking. I am definitely going to visit them again.

Beautiful Kuwait

Cinemagic showing a remarkable view of Kuwait from the sky. They managed to do aerial shots of Kuwait from different places which turned out to be pretty awesome. Watch it in HD for a better quality!

Review: John Carter

The movie talks about a guy who gets transplanted to Mars accidentally and discovers a different life with 12 foot tall barbarians who capture him as prisoner.

I really enjoyed the acting of the movie with the leading role of Taylor Kitsch as John Carter. Story line was roughly good. It would have been better if there were gore scenes at the battles in the movie but it makes sense that they didn't because it's a Disney movie. It was more of an adventure movie than an action movie.

My friend had the chance to watch the movie in Digital 3D and IMAX 3D and noticed that despite the bigger screen of the IMAX, the brightness of the Digital 3D was way too low compared to the one from IMAX. There were scenes were we could barely see anything. I don't know if it's a problem from Cinescape or from the movie screening.

Overall, the movie was nice to watch but it's not anywhere near the awesomeness of Avatar or Star Wars.

My final rating 7/10

Andy Cole in Kuwait
