The General Director of the Communications Department at the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant Ali Zaid Al-Dahmali, recently announced that the emergency number will be changed from its current "777" to "112" by January 1, 2010. The previous number will be voided by the end of this year.I like the "777" more than the new one.

yeah, the 777 is unique.
112 is the International Security Number, even if ur mobile was shut and u dial 112, u can still call and talk to the operator.
but yea 777 is actually kinda unique, we're used to it ;p
