Scientific Center of Kuwait reached their 5th million visitor. As the ticket was sold, lights and music announced the special occasion. Every time I pass by Mishref's supermarket I see that booth in front of me which is located near the cashier on your way out of the supermarket. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against them or what they sell. All I'm asking is for some care and consideration for doing a simple spell check before you proceed in adding the name of the booth.

so what's the incorrect word ?

My iPhone is Back to Life

Remember my post about my "iPhone's Battery Problem" ? .. Well, I've finally found the place that fixed the problem !
The store called "The Grand Aasma", near the fire station in Sharq. They told me that the problem wasn't from the battery, it was from my last updated version 3.0.1 that was done by some guy also in Sharq.

They fixed the whole software with only 10 KD and It's working perfectly.

Why Speeding ?

On my way back to my house, I noticed this upside-down Tida in "Gulf Road" near "Burj Al-Hmam" and I start wondering .. why do people speed-up specially here in Kuwait ?

Some say that he/she might be on a hurry because he/she has a meeting or something. Even if this is true, you'd prefer to arrive late or have an accident ?

When someone tells you that we will meet at 6:00pm it doesn't mean that you have to drive at 6:00pm to get there at 6:00pm ! It doesn't even make sense !

One other thing, please stop the boys follow girls and girls follow boys "thingy" in streets. We are adults .. not kids anymore and streets are not play grounds for those who wanna play chasing !

My friend recommended me to read The Little Stranger's story from the talented and bestselling author Sarah Waters. I purchased the book and started reading a couple of pages and I kind of enjoyed it. This is my first book to read and I hope it wont be the last one. It would be great if you could guide me to some excellent books to read.

Review : Inglourious Basterds

Today I've watched Brad's new movie, "Inglourious Basterds". The movie was pretty good. We jumped, laughed and even got shocked .. but what made my rating go one or two points down is the movie length. One of my friends slept during the movie !

My rate is 7/10 .. This movie is worth watching.

Dubai dislikes Flickr

I am finally back to Kuwait from a wonderful stay at Dubai.

While my brother HKR was trying to access Flickr surprisingly it turned out that it is blocked in Dubai. Yes, blocking Flickr was unnecessary so let us stop complaining about Kuwait's censorship shall we? ;p

What I loved about their website blocking is the displayed censorship which contained one of Freej's characters with bright colors unlike Kuwait's blocking which looks very unpleasing.

This is from the head-office in GUST, they will buy masks for each and every student in the university to avoid the swine flu. So we will be wearing masks during classes starting 27/9/2009.

Tennis Player Serena Abuses Line Judge

What is that all about? From what I've heard, after being called for a foot fault, Serena Williams approached the line judge and threatened her to stuff the tennis ball down the woman's throat while shooking her racket at the woman. From the way I see it, the judge made the right decision to disqualify Serena Williams from the semi final game which makes the opponent Kim Cligsters go straight to the final.

First Gulf Metro System Opens in Dubai

Dubai will open today on 09/09/09 at 9:09:09 pm it's first metro system and largest infrastructure project in over a decade. The $7.6 billion Dubai Metro, when running at full capacity, will be the world's driverless train system with over 70 km (43 miles) of track. In dubai style, the metro also boasts a VIP gold-class section.

iPhone's Battery Problem

After almost two years of using my iPhone, I guess it's true that every thing in this world has it's time to die and the time has come to my iPhone's battery, no matter how long I charge it, the battery still dies after only one hour of using the phone.

The problem doesn't end here, there are no stores for fixing iPhones here in Kuwait ! I searched everywhere and still I can't find one ! .. Even "Digits" and "iCity" can't fix it.

I guess it's time to get a new phone and I'm thinking of getting a BB ( Specially after I knew that Salem bought one :p ). At least they can fix it here in Kuwait + I'm gonna miss iPhone Applications.

Welcome To My World Blackberry Bold

I have caught the virus! The virus that keeps attracting this small yet attractive device. I finally bought the Blackberry Bold after a number of attempts of my friends pushing me into getting it. I surely do not need to give a review about it since most of Kuwait probably have them now but if you want to know about the device click here.

I wanted to buy one of the 2 new available blackberry devices which are Gemeni and Tour but none of them had what I desire. The tour lacked WIFI and Gemeni is simply for the people who like petit and pretty looks with no big features.

I still did not use it completely and don't know how to begin with it. I already sent a text message and now I'm waiting to receive my so called BB pin.
