Review: Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol

The movie turned out to be fantastic in all aspects. Tom Cruise did a fantastic job in creating the best Mission Impossible series so far. Simon Pegg did a great job as-well with his humorous character.

I love how the movie was shot in multiple places. It took place in Dubai, India, Russia, Czech Republic and Canada.

The duration of the movie was a bit long for an action movie. It's almost 2 hours and 10 minutes long. The movie is great to watch with all the spy equipments, gadgets and incredible action scenes.

My rating 8.5/10

Review: Captain America

The movie starts in a good shape with a interesting story line. A guy who volunteers to be part of a military service but gets refused because of his asthma and weak body. However, a doctor from a top secret research program finds him and accepts him; soon enough to turn him into Captain America.

After he becomes Captain America the movie starts to get really boring. The middle part and last part of the movie were truly awful. I tried my best to keep myself awake but couldn't bare the boredom of the movie. I didn't enjoy the action scenes neither the acting in the movie.

I expected a lot more. I would rate the movie 4/10

"X-Men: First Class" Movie Premiere by VIVA

We were invited by VIVA to attend "X-Men: First Class" movie premiere which was held at 360 mall, the VIP section. Many bloggers were there and it was nice to meet each one of them like p0ach, Omarker, Q8AllinOne, BlogLaish, 360Dewan and much more. Also a pleasure to meet Mr.Fahad AlFahad, Abdulrazag AlMutaawa and all those working at VIVA.

Review: "Fast Five"

Everyone was talking about how good the movie "Fast Five" is and some consider it as the best movie in 2011. Yesterday I saw the movie and it was good, loved the cars and the action scenes but to be honest the movie has lots of mistakes. The Rock was the only actor that is ALWAYS sweaty in every scene, and the story line wasn't that good.

What makes this movie good is the cool cars and the chasing scenes. Overall, it's a good movie but they should reconsider the tiny details in the story and it will be brilliant. My rate for this movie is 7/10

Check the trailer.

Review: "Thor"

One of my "Five Movies to Watch" list, Thor was incredibly amazing and I enjoyed every minute of it. Marvel movies are getting better and better each year, can't imagine how the Avengers movie would be like with all these super heroes in one movie.

What I really enjoyed in the movie is the highly detailed graphics and the story was breathtaking from the beginning of the movie till the end.

My rate for Thor is 8.5/10, highly recommended.

Note: Thor must be released on May 6th, so thumbs up for Cinescape !

Kuwait International Film Retreat - Day 2

Since I was at Wataniya's backstage event I missed Kuwait International Film Retreat day 1. It's basically an event that concentrates on movies and the film industry in and outside Kuwait.

Review: "Battle: Los Angeles"

Just saw "Battle: Los Angeles" movie and it wasn't what I've expected. The movie was kinda good only if it wasn't 114 minutes or if we chose a place other than Muhallab Mall to watch the movie. It's about aliens invasion and the story concentrates on a marine platoon trying to save Los Angeles from the invasion.

My final rate for this movie is 4.5/10, to watch the trailer click here.

Five Movies To Watch

Five upcoming movies that I really can't wait to watch Captain America, Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Thor, X-Men: First Class and Transformers: Dark of The Moon. I have watched their trailers and I can tell that at least three of these five movies will be worth watching.

In Captain America, I was shocked when I saw Chris Evans thin and suddenly with muscles. I wonder if this was made by computer like 300 the movie. Pirates of The Caribbean always fun to watch, and I'm pretty sure that the new part will be incredible as usual.

What's your favorite upcoming movie ?

Battle: Los Angeles

I've just watched an amazing trailer for a movie called "Battle: Los Angeles". Many people would say "Oh God, it's just another alien invasion movie", but after watching the trailer you'll fall in love with it !

I hope it's good as the trailer shows and there's only one way to find out, it will be released on the 11th of March 2011.

Batman's Mask and Batmobile

I was extremely shocked when I first saw it since I'm one of the biggest fans of Batman. The mask is not made for you to wear (Unfortunately) and it's not cheap either, costs 2,450AED (187.5KD).

You can find it in Dubai Mall in a store called "The Noble Collection" which is a very famous store in the U.S. and it's located near the cinema, almost in front of SEGA Republic. They also have many other incredible stuff like Harry Potter's magic wands and Lord of The Rings "ring" !

We also had the chance to finally see the Batmobile and its engine in Dubai Mall too.

I was so lucky to see all these in one day, only if I could have them all specially the Batmobile !

Review : The Next Three Days

Yesterday Salem, Kuwaitiful and I went to watch "The Next Three Days". The movie was incredible and really deserved to be watched, specially since Russel Crowe is acting in this movie. It's about a husband trying to help his wife to escape from jail after murdering her boss.

My final rate for the movie is 8/10 and it would be 9 only if it wasn't boring in the beginning, but overall the movie was amazing.

This Week's Cinescape Movies

Do not miss this week's Cinescape movies! Paranormal Activity 2 and The Social Network are on my must-watch list! I hope we don't suffer from a lot of deleted scenes.

Scream 4

I am a big fan of the movie series Scream which was created by Wes Craven. It's been 10 years since the last series and I just can't wait for the 4th one to be released.

Check out the official trailer of the movie.

It is scheduled to be released on April 15, 2011.

Cinescape First Row Seats = VIP Seats

Nobody wants to sit in the first row seats of the theatre, well that's about to change. Only the first row seaters will have the chance to fully relax while watching the movie by putting their legs on the cushion table.

That's a great move by Cinescape. I tried the first row seating area and I honestly loved it.

Cinescape's New/Old Policy

One of my best friends just went to Cinescape in 360 mall to watch "Wall Street" and it was very great to hear that they returned the old policy, they're gonna stop the movie for almost 15 minutes when it's prayer time. Now you can enjoy your movie and pray in time.

I'm not sure if this policy is applied in every mall yet.

Request: Eid Movies

I did not visit the cinema during Eid but I'm hoping to do so soon. These are the movies that were released; The American, Cats & Dogs, The Expandables, El Lemby 8 Giga, Legendary, Charlie St. Cloud, It's a wonderful After Life and Dabangg.

If you recently went to the cinema and watched any of these movies, please write it down in the comments and let us know what you think of the movie.

Review: Inception

It's been some time now since I made a review about a movie from the big screen. Inception was a very unique and mysterious movie in all aspects. The dreamland stories in particular will blow your mind away. Even when the movie is finished you might still be completely lost over what really happened. The movie is 2 hours and half long so I would advice a cup of coffee and perhaps a VIP screen so that you can stretch yourself.

If you like mind game and mysterious movies I would recommend you to see it. I personally loved the movie especially how the story revolved on dreams.

My final rating would be 8.5/10

Harry Potter - The Finale Trailer

Harry Potter's finale will be presented in two parts, one in November 2010 and the other in July 2011. From the trailer I guess it will be more like an action movie which I would love to see.

No Blood Allowed in Cinescape!

I got really mad when I went to A nightmare on Elm Street in Cinescape and found out that they have cut anything related to blood scenes. For crying out loud it's a horror movie! What's the purpose of removing scary and bloody scenes when the movie is all about it?

I always check the ratings if the movie has nude scene or not so that I can know the amount of cut scenes I may endure, well that movie didn't have any nude scenes what so ever but they just had to cut something!

Me and my friend stormed out just 10 minutes after the movie has began. I am just really disappointed in our cinema's policy issues. However I am sure that they can do something, we'll just wait and have some hope about it.

Bachelors Only at Cinescape Theatres!

Cinescape has finally made a bachelors only screen at 360 mall. Now we can finally have the chance to take the good seats at the back!

I hope that the next good news for Cinescape will be that they'll remove the censorship and replace it with a rating policy.
