Review: Blackberry 9900

I got the new Blackberry Bold Touch 9900 a couple of days ago from Fono. It's not the smallest Blackberry but it is the slimmest of it's kind. There are many good and bad to talk about concerning the new blackberry. It's better if I list them in two parts with a few comparison to the previous blackberries.

The Good:

1- Larger Screen; 24-bit high-resolution display.

2- Bigger keyboards

3- Faster with Blackberry OS7; 1.2 GHz processor

4- High speaker quality

5- Touch screen; Best for browsing.

The Bad:

1- Photo camera only 5MP with no auto focus.

2- Battery life dies quickly, the blackberry bold 9780 can stay longer.

3- Mute button on the right side between the volume section is placed badly - at least I need to get used to it.

4- Touch screen too sensitive.

Overall, The new blackberry 9900 is a great device for a daily business and fun usage with many great features. However, it still has it's disadvantage on the amount of apps comparing it to the android and iphone market.

Wataniya Telecom Verified By Twitter Officials

While I was surfing Twitter, I noticed that Wataniya Telecom's twitter account is verified by twitter officials. This is the first time I stumble upon a verified user who's published in Kuwait.

I think Kuwaiti CEO's, politicians and other VIP people should be part of the verified people due to the huge usage of Twitter in Kuwait and the Arab world.

Wataniya TV Channel Announcement

We were invited yesterday to attend a press conference that was held at Missoni Hotel, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Balool and Mr. Aamer Sabah were announcing Wataniya's TV Channel which will begin airing official on the first day of Ramadan.

However, they said that they're going to test the channel on the 15th of July for about two weeks before Ramadan since it will starts on August 1st. Also Wataniya TV Channel selected some of the best TV shows to be in their channel grid during Ramadan.

At the end of the press conference Wataniya gave us a DVD Home Theatre System as a giveaway, it was very kind of them to give us such a cool gift. It was a pleasure also to meet 360Dewan, Kuwaitiful, Q8Path and Bloglaish.

Wataniya's First Backstage Event Featuring Ne-Yo

Yesterday was a day to remember from the press conference till the concert. I will show you what we did step by step and give you a full coverage of what happened yesterday.

We went to Sahara Resort to start with the press conference and have the opportunity to ask Ne-Yo whatever we want to ask. I was really amazed by how humble and kind he was, he almost signed for everyone plus took some shots with us and other fans who attended the press conference.

After that there was a lunch at Al-Mayyas, Al-Bida'a. We went there by limos and had the lunch with Ne-Yo himself only that he was in another table along with Wataniya's CEOs. However, we enjoyed the limos and of course the food.

The Avenues was our next destination. The moment we entered the mall and all we can hear was girls screaming with Ne-Yo's name. Like what he did in the press conference, he was very kind and dealt with as many fans as he can handle by signing to each one of them. He actually gave his sunglasses to one of his fans, she must be the luckiest girl among all the fans.

Then we went back to Sahara Resort were we rested a bit then head to the stage. Fans were increasing rapidly and the stage was full in no time. Mean while, DJ Crow was in the house playing some music while we were waiting for Ne-Yo to show up at the stage.

As soon as Ne-Yo showed up and the crowd went crazy specially that his performance was pretty much amazing. I really enjoyed the concert and wish if the stage was even bigger to handle more fans.

I would like to thank WataniyaTelecom for such amazing experience, I really enjoyed everything we did that day and can't wait to attend the next one !

Also it was an honor to meet other bloggers which I consider them as brothers/sisters 360Dewan, BlogLaish, Q8Path and Ansam518.

Ne-Yo's Backstage Tickets

First Review : Samsung Galaxy S

Three days ago, Wataniya Telecom were so kind to us by giving away one of the latest and powerful devices in the market which is Samsung Galaxy S. The first thing that I noticed about the Galaxy S is the design, we can see how it's an exact copy of the iPhone, a little bit bigger in size but lighter in weight !

The most amazing thing about this device is that it has an Android 2.1 operating system and can be updated to 2.2 very soon. Also what really attracted me is the widgets, you can add as much as you like and they're easy to use and manage.

The screen is very smooth, user friendly and has a super AMOLED display compared to iPhone4 which has a Retina IPS (Learn more). I tried playing Angry Bird in both phones and it has a huge difference between the two, Galaxy S is better !

One of the biggest issues that we're facing in iPhones generally, is the battery life. Well, Galaxy S has almost double the time specially in the standby mode. It has a battery life of 576 hours, iPhone4 has only 300 hours !

The bad things about Galaxy S are a built-in camera without a flash and the overheat when using for long time.

Overall, Galaxy S and iPhone4 are like brothers from different mother. Both have almost same features and capabilities, but the question is what will happen if the Android 2.2 operating system released on Galaxy S ?
