Kuwait's 1st Social Media Forum is one of the events that I really did want to attend but I couldn't since I was kinda busy these days. It's generally about the social media and how useful it is to us, specially Twitter which is what they were focusing on.

Many great names spoke in this event like Hind Al-Nahedh, Khalid Al-Zanki and Lawyer Mohammed Al-Dallal. To read more about the event and to see more photos check out Ansam518.

I used to be a fan of WWE almost 7 to 10 years ago but I stopped watching because most of my favorite wrestlers stopped wrestling. I am now so thrilled about the upcoming Wrestlemania event because many of my favorite wrestlers are back including The Rock and Stone Cold, along with The Undertaker and Triple H.

Smoking At The Avenues

At first, I was so excited to hear about making The Avenues mall a smoking-free area. However after visiting the mall for the last 2 weeks I was really frustrated to see the amount of people smoking inside the mall.

I've also noticed that Starbucks were providing an ashtray for smoking. Furthermore, security malls didn't do anything about smokers in the mall.

What happened to no smoking at The Avenues Mall? I'm really disappointed at the avenues management for not being up to their new policy.

Hands On: iPhone 4 Keyboard Case

I finally got the keyboard case for the iphone 4 which basically solves my problem with the annoying keyboard touchscreen.

iPhone 4 BT Keyboard Case works as a wireless by attaching it to your iPhone [similar to a cover] simply open your bluetooth and connect the keyboard case to your iphone.

Everything is great about it except that the buttons aren't bold which makes typing less comfortable and the space bar isn't in the middle of the keyboard, however you'll get used to it through time.

I don't know if the Keyboard Case is available in Kuwait but I've received it from my cousin at Dubai Mall.

It's seems like Zanga Zanga is the new catchy phrase and soon we're gonna see it everywhere. I wasn't surprised at all when I first saw the ad since lots of people use Zanga Zanga and became familiar with it.

Aero With Caramel

Aero is one of my best chocolates after Galaxy of course. Just noticed that they have produced a new Aero with caramel inside every piece, I've tasted it and it was really delicious !

I might be addicted to chocolate but why not adding caramel to it, I'm getting extra weight either ways.

Amazing Ping Pong Shots

In todays newspaper I've found this ad by Eureka showing an officially unlocked iPhone4 with a very cheap price. They are selling it for 230KD with a one year warranty.

Food Review: Dragon Express

I've spotted Dragon Express at Salmiya [a newly opened branch] so I decided to try them out since I love chinese food. I ordered Chicken Sichwan, Shrimp Noodles and Chicken Wontan.

The chicken sishwan was undercooked and it wasn't spicy as supposed to be. I enjoyed the shrimp wonton. Noodles were fine however the shrimp was tasteless. A bad mixture of shrimp noodles, hence all of the shrimp turned out under the noodles so I had to eat the noodles first then eat the shrimp.

How To Hack Video Screens In Time Square

By an iPhone and a transmitter only, this guy hacked into Time Square's video screens. It's nice to see such simple and creative ideas.

This is what he said to explain how it works "The transmitter instantly sends the video signal to the video repeater and the video repeater overrides any video screen that it's being held next to. it doesn't matter what shape or size the hacked screen is because the hack video will simply keep its correct dimensions and the rest of the hacked space will stay black".

I wonder if I could show the logo of our blog on the biggest screen in Time Square that would be awesome !

No More Zain At 360 Mall ?

Yesterday I went to 360 mall and found out that Zain's booth been closed by the municipal. It's  very strange to notice that only Zain was closed even though there's a booth for Viva right next to it.

Safer Streets

New traffic lights made specially for pedestrians were placed almost in every street in Qadesiya that takes you to the co-op in order to make it easier and much safer for pedestrians to cross the street. It's nice to see how they are caring about our safety and I really hope to see the same in areas other than Qadesiya.

I can handle It

I've received an interesting email by a Kuwaiti women requesting the attention of women in Kuwait who don't know how to handle common car problems.

This is what she had to say...
"I am a Kuwaiti woman that really wants to learn about car mechanics. I want to learn about it because it's important. When I drive my car, I always wonder if my car is ever going to stop in the middle of the road or high way. I wouldn't want to wait for my brother or father to come fix it and I definitely don't want to depend on a guy (stranger) either. The car is our only transportation source in Kuwait. Therefore, it's important for everyone who owns a car to know the foundations of its mechanics.

I went to the public authority for applied education and training (the only place that offers a course about car mechanics) and asked about the course. They told me that it's not available because there are no girls interested. They also said that in order to open the course, I need to have a list of at least 15 girls that are interested, and then the course would be available by May 2011. I decided to look for those 15 girls by designing this poster. The "I can handle it" poster.

Most of my friends don’t think any woman would be interested. Only 1 of my friends is in the list.

That's a type of technology I don't prefer as I see it a way for more overweight problems and laziness.

Review: "Battle: Los Angeles"

Just saw "Battle: Los Angeles" movie and it wasn't what I've expected. The movie was kinda good only if it wasn't 114 minutes or if we chose a place other than Muhallab Mall to watch the movie. It's about aliens invasion and the story concentrates on a marine platoon trying to save Los Angeles from the invasion.

Sikkaa Amateur Football

Sikka.com is a social networking website for amateur football players. I personally love the concept of the website as it makes the idea of playing football more interesting.

The captain of the team is the one who challenges other teams on the website and the team has to have at least 5 players in it. then You, as a team, play football for real.

Whats good about the website is that it uses a lot of models that support this service. Such as, Challenge model, Results model and Awards model.

The challenge model is only seen by the team captain when he views other teams, and when he clicks it, he gets to choose the team he wants to challenge with (if he has more than one team), the Date of the match, the location (if he has a field to play in) the time, the Field type (Turf, Indoor...etc), Number of players and number of subs. When Challenged all this information is viewed by the other team captain and he has to accept or decline it. when he accepts. the Challenge is viewed by all users in both teams pages.

Results Model is unique, once a match is over. The challenger team's captain submits the result throw his teams page, then it goes to the challenged team for approval. once approved the result can be viewed in both teams and in the front page of the website.

There are two models for Awards, One is for the whole team and this is set automatically in the website. the other is for team players which the captain decides who gets what. The captain also can gets an award if he gets nominated by one player in the team and voted by three other. "

Oreo Pops
